FOOD AID FOR ORANG ASLI COMMUNITIES IN KAMPUNG RANTAU AND KAMPUNG KUALA BOH

The food basket program which was started in 2016 which was initiated by our Exco member the late Mr. Norazif. The party of 11 participant which lead by Tuan Haji Hamirudin bin Hashim the President of Hostelling International-Malaysia lead this mission of volunteering work with HI-Malaysia Exco members, volunteers and donors to distribute the food basket and school stationeries to the orang asli families and children staying at Kampung Rantau on the 28/11/25

We left from Kuala Lumpur at 9:30am and reach Kampung Rantau about 3:00pm and started our program. We also invited organising committee members from WAKE 2.0 (Wellbeing Advance Through Knowledge & Education) from University Islam Antarabangsa to join in our program.

After the giving of the food basket HI-Malaysia treated the children with some bites of french fries, fried sausage and nuggets. Which was prepared by our own members and in return we were served with some traditional local bites, baked tapioca and betel leaf. The program ended at 6:30pm and all of us left to our affiliate hotel Tekoma Resort Cameron Highlands to put up the night there.

The next day morning after having the breakfast we headed to Kampung Kuala Boh to join the students from UIA WAKE 2.0 about 40 volunteers and 10 medical personals from Pusrawi Hospital in distributing food basket and medical check-up. The WAKE 2.0 from UIA was staying in Kampung Kuala Boh from 26 till 30 November 2025 doing their community service to the orang asli.

The program ended at 12:30pm and we departed to Kuala Lumpur with some members decided to extend their stay in Cameron Highlands to enjoy the natural beauty
